Warranty Policy
Effective date: July 21, 2026
1. Overview
This Warranty Policy explains how warranty concerns involving parts and automotive services provided by Bro's Mechanic Shop are handled.
Warranty coverage is not automatic for every concern. Coverage depends on the part involved, the manufacturer or supplier warranty, the type of repair, the vehicle's condition, and the circumstances of the claim.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Parts Supplied by Bro's Mechanic Shop
Parts supplied by Bro's Mechanic Shop may be covered by the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty, subject to their terms, limitations, claim procedures, inspection requirements, exclusions, and approval.
Warranty duration and coverage vary by part brand, supplier, and product. Bro's Mechanic Shop does not control the decision of a manufacturer, distributor, or parts supplier to approve or deny a warranty claim.
A manufacturer or supplier warranty may be limited to repair, replacement, or credit for the defective part. It may not cover diagnostic time, labour, travel, towing, fluids, shipping, programming, shop charges, or other related expenses.
3. Labour Warranty
Labour warranty coverage is not automatically included with every service and depends on the type of repair and the circumstances of the concern.
When a concern is reported, Bro's Mechanic Shop may inspect the vehicle to determine whether it is related to previously completed work, a defective part, another failed component, vehicle condition, misuse, or an unrelated problem.
Any decision to provide labour assistance, reduced labour, or labour at no charge will be made after inspection and does not create a general or continuing labour warranty for other repairs.
4. Customer-Supplied Parts
Parts supplied by the customer are not warranted by Bro's Mechanic Shop.
The customer is responsible for confirming that customer-supplied parts are correct, complete, undamaged, suitable, and compatible with the vehicle.
If a customer-supplied part is incorrect, defective, incomplete, fails, or requires removal or replacement, all diagnostic, travel, labour, fluids, materials, and related costs will be charged separately.
Any warranty claim for a customer-supplied part must be handled directly between the customer and the seller or manufacturer of that part.
5. Conditions That May Not Be Covered
Warranty coverage may be denied or limited when the concern is caused or affected by:
- Normal wear, aging, or maintenance requirements
- Failure of another component or system not included in the original repair
- Continued vehicle operation after a warning light, leak, overheating condition, unusual noise, or safety warning
- Misuse, collision, impact, improper towing, racing, overloading, or environmental damage
- Corrosion, contamination, water intrusion, rodents, or damaged wiring
- Vehicle modifications, aftermarket tuning, non-original equipment, or altered systems
- Repairs, adjustments, or disassembly performed by another person or repair facility after the original service
- Incorrect, contaminated, or insufficient fluids not related to the original service
- Failure to follow recommended maintenance or repair instructions
- Pre-existing damage or conditions that were not part of the authorized repair
- Diagnostic findings that change because the fault is intermittent or the vehicle's condition has changed
6. Related and Unrelated Failures
Replacing or repairing one component does not guarantee the condition of other components in the same system.
A similar warning light, noise, leak, vibration, or symptom does not necessarily mean that the original repair has failed. Additional diagnosis may be required to identify the cause.
Diagnostic and inspection charges may apply when the concern is unrelated to the previous repair or is not covered by an approved parts warranty.
7. Reporting a Warranty Concern
A possible warranty concern should be reported as soon as reasonably possible after the symptom appears.
Please provide the customer's name, invoice information, vehicle details, current mileage, a description of the concern, and any relevant photographs, videos, warning messages, or scan results.
Customers should stop operating the vehicle when continued driving may cause additional damage or create a safety risk. Bro's Mechanic Shop is not responsible for additional damage caused by continued operation after a serious symptom or warning appears, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
8. Inspection Is Required
Bro's Mechanic Shop must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle and the affected part before warranty coverage can be determined.
Warranty coverage cannot normally be confirmed using only a photograph, message, scan code, or diagnosis provided by another person.
An inspection or diagnostic charge may be required. If the concern is confirmed as covered, Bro's Mechanic Shop may adjust or waive eligible charges at its discretion or as required by an approved manufacturer or supplier warranty.
9. Manufacturer or Supplier Claim Process
A manufacturer or supplier may require the defective part to be removed, returned, tested, photographed, or inspected before approving a claim.
The customer may be required to pay diagnostic, removal, replacement, shipping, travel, fluid, or other costs while the claim is being evaluated.
If a warranty credit or reimbursement is later received and applies to costs paid by the customer, the eligible amount will be refunded or credited after the claim is approved and processed.
10. Parts Availability
Replacement parts are subject to manufacturer and supplier availability. An identical part, brand, or model may no longer be available.
When permitted by the applicable warranty, a comparable replacement part may be used. Delivery times and claim-processing times are controlled by the manufacturer or supplier and cannot be guaranteed by Bro's Mechanic Shop.
11. Towing, Travel, and Additional Expenses
Unless specifically approved under an applicable warranty, warranty coverage does not include towing, roadside assistance, storage, rental vehicles, transportation, accommodation, missed work, lost income, or loss of vehicle use.
Mobile travel charges may apply when an inspection or repair must be performed at the customer's location.
12. Repairs Performed by Another Provider
Customers should contact Bro's Mechanic Shop before authorizing another person, repair facility, or dealership to remove, replace, adjust, or dispose of a part involved in a possible warranty claim.
Bro's Mechanic Shop may be unable to verify or process a warranty claim if the vehicle or part has been repaired, disassembled, altered, lost, or discarded before an inspection.
Work performed by another provider is not reimbursed unless authorization was provided in advance in writing.
13. No Guarantee of the Entire Vehicle
Warranty consideration applies only to the specific part or work being reviewed. It does not guarantee the condition, safety, reliability, or remaining life of the entire vehicle or unrelated components.
Vehicle age, mileage, corrosion, previous repairs, modifications, maintenance history, operating conditions, and general wear may affect the vehicle after service.
14. Consumer Rights
This policy is intended to operate consistently with applicable consumer-protection laws.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits a right, remedy, or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
15. Changes to This Policy
Bro's Mechanic Shop may update this Warranty Policy when business practices, supplier requirements, services, or legal obligations change.
The warranty terms applicable to a service are the terms in effect when that service is authorized, together with any applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty.
